There are three ways to select which health insurance policies you want to have.
-
For a history of cancer in your family, you should select a Cancer Care Plus policy.
-
For income in the event of other significant medical problems, you should select a Critical Protection and Recovery policy.
-
If you have no health insurance now, I strongly recommend that you set up a “portfolio” of policies (referred to as “stacking”). The “Cadillac” stack of policies would be: Affordable Choice Enhance—Elite Plus version, also the Cancer Care Plus—Plan D version, also the PAID Enhanced accident plan, and finally the Critical Protection and Recovery plan. There are different levels for the first two plans, and I will be presenting the benefits of having the best. But you may decide to choose other plans that cost a little less. At the end, I will add up the total monthly premium for both a 20 you non-smoking male and a 60 yo non-smoking male for the premium stack of 4 plans.
Affordable Choice Enhanced—Elite Plus:
First Health Network--800,000 medical professionals & almost 6,000 hospitals;
so there will be significant discounts before the insurance pays out
NO deductions and NO co-insurance requirements!!!
If you work at least 30 hours per week, you will probably have significantly fewer medical questions to answer.
$3,000 for admission to a hospital, then $6.000 per day
3 times what Medicare allows for payment to physicians—up to $50,000 per year
$3,000 for any outpatient surgery
Lifetime Maximum--$5,000,000
Cancer Care Plus—Plan D:
Includes many “dread diseases” along with cancer
$5,000 actual charges per month; $4,000 per surgery
PAID Enhanced accident plan:
Available for ages 18-84; covers round-the-clock
$50,000 for accidental death
Critical Protection & Recovery:
For different medical problems than are covered by the Cancer Care Plus plan
First Diagnosis--$200,000
Costs: 20 yo male--$174.43+$46.82+$22.00+$21.70=$264.95
Costs: 60 yo male--$369.21+$81.38+$22.00+$116.00=$588.59
